Advertising

You see advertising in almost everything these days. Whether its movies, shows, billboards, radio, even sports. Everyday the average person is exposed to about 1,600 ads daily. In addition, the average human will only remember 3 ads they have seen that day. It comes to show that in today's age advertising is one of the most important departments in a business. As an advertiser your job is to draw peoples attention to your product. First of all, People buy brands not products. Why? because they know what their going to get out of that product based on the brand. McDonalds for example has been the leading fast food restaurant franchise in the world because of it's consistency. They don't change colors or products, they just find different ways to make a product better. When it comes down to it, advertising is probably the easiest thing to do in the world. Whether its sex appeal, a celebrity, colors, or a jingle all you want is to climb into your consumers mind.

I choose the Digiorno commercial where the guy dresses up like a pizza delivery guy and gets into a huge mansion party. That would never happen in a million years. This ad is obviously directed towards college kids like myself. College kids love parties, and pizza right? so why not throw both in a commercial? When the Kid gets into the house all you see is white marble. Every and any college would want to see white marble when they go into a party. Digiorno doesn't really have a jingle but it's motto is very very catchy; "It's not delivery, It's Digiorno's". This motto basically states that the pizza is so good you would think it's delivery, when in reality you cook it in the oven. Of course the pizza they show on the commercial looks nothing like the ones you get but we all know that. I have personally never tried Digiorno's but I feel like it wouldn't even compare to delivery pizza. It's manipulative but at the same time untruthful. You want to eat it, but you would never try to get into a party like that.
